The second quarter of 2019 (April 1st through June 30th) is behind us and now is a great time to review the Windsor-Essex real estate market statistics. When compared to the same quarter of 2018, we see that this continues to be a strong seller’s market and that there is a great demand from buyers for the homes for sale in Windsor and Essex County.
The number of homes sold in the Windsor-Essex region was very close to the same number, with a small 1% decrease in the number of homes sold in the second quarter of 2019 compared to 2018. The number of listings was noticeably higher for Q2 2019, as there was a 10% increase in homes listed compared to the same period last year. The percentage of listings that sold during this quarter was down 8% versus the previous year, going from 73% to 65%.
